Embodiment Coaching

Embodiment Coaching is a practice that focuses on exploring bodily tension, gestures, and sensations through awareness, dialogue, movement, and touch. This can include yoga postures, breathwork, somatic-based movement, and techniques. It also involves learning and implementing exercises that stimulate the vagus nerve. By listening to the messages carried in the body, clients are guided to make choices that support moving with more ease and freedom in life, which may have been lost or disconnected in their life story.

Individuals that are looking to create more ease and joy in their everyday lives through a restored connection to their bodies. Embodiment coaching is great for anyone who wants to reduce discomfort, strain, and stress in the body and learn the science behind and how to transform negative emotional experiences, strengthen resourcefulness, create a greater sense of Self, and build resilience to life’s challenges—embracing a new beginning in a transformed body.

Even the best advice, self-help books and therapy can’t be embodied. This isn’t a failure; it’s physiology. And it’s the missing piece to real, long-term change and deep healing. If we do not consequently have the opportunity to process and release the experiences of our past throughout the body-mind system, we may remain stuck in a state of physiological and psycho-emotional disequilibrium. Often, this manifests as hyper- or hypo-arousal, disconnection, tension or rigidity in the body.

I help and coach you through learning and implementing the art of somatic movement, regulation, and embodiment, learning to be in your body, your activations and triggers, and implementing vagus nerve and somatic resources to widen and expand your window of tolerance.

This process requires patience, learning, and developing introspection. I help you develop these skills to maximise your personal and potentially therapeutic journey.

Book Your Introductory Session

Finding a Somatic specialist to guide you through the process of reconnecting back to your body can be overwhelming. In our first session, we will explore your goals, history and levels of dysregulation to create an integrative plan specific to your story. We work together to create a safe and stable internal environment to reconnect with your body and bring you to a place where you can look forward to the future.

This 90-minute session can be done over Zoom or in person at the clinic (based in Bingley, West Yorkshire, UK).
